		<description>I think this is an exciting day for #openvideo, but we&#039;re really here at the very beginning.

Although we&#039;re still not at a point where it&#039;s decided which codecs are going to be dominant, WE JUST GOT INTERNET EXPLORER!!!

Sorry, I didn&#039;t mean to shout, but that&#039;s huge.  IE9 is going to support the  tag, and all that&#039;s left now is making our server systems smart enough to handle a single upload and transcode that into all the open formats.  

So just keep a high quality render of each of your posts somewhere like archive.org, we can get to the transcodes later.  

Next up is getting a good monetization system in the open video production chain, surely Blip, YouTube, and Kaltura will knock this one out next.  

Our infrastructure is in place.</description>

I think it&#039;s good to push for open over patent-encumbered. I just wish we didn&#039;t have to go through this crap again.

I&#039;m *this* close to deleting my videoblog entirely. I just want to tell stories. I don&#039;t want to deal with this stuff.</description>
